This zoo is one of the oldest of the world, located in the heart of the city. Hosting about 1,000 animals which generally doesn't have much room to live, this place might not be for all tastes - well, as all zoos. The vivarium is worth the look, still.
- Opening hours - Everyday from 9am to 7pm
- Prices - Full price : 10 euros - Reduced price : 8 euros - Free for children under 4.
- The Alpine Garden - Between the Botanic School and the Menagerie lies the Alpine Garden, created in 1931, and slightly hidden from view. This is a quite remarkable place where more than 2,000 mountain plants are thriving, despite coming from very different areas of the world such as the Alps, the Pyrénées, the Himalayas, or China. A little underground passage goes from the garden to the Botanic School.
