In context : The covered passageways of Paris
(From : Vivienne Gallery). Exit the gallery at des Petits-Champs street. Take note of the type of restaurant located here (beware of the spelling of this french word), on each side of the gallery entrance and turn right. The Colbert Gallery is right here. You're also very close to the Palais-Royal Gardens.
Build in 1826 in an attempt to compete with the nearby Vivienne Gallery, it has never had as much success as the latter.
Fully renovated in the 1980's, Colbert Gallery was bought by the French National Library and now houses the National Art Institute and the National Heritage Institute.
